Plantation Day
According to the instructions received from the Uttar Pradesh government, a program was organized for the establishment of a food forest in the district Baghpat, at the site selected by the forest department, for the beginning of plantation in 2 hectares of land of village society located in village Badarkha. The chief guest of this program was Mr. K.P. Malik, Hon’ble Minister of State, Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Uttar Pradesh.
Among the distinguished guests, Mr. Raj Kamal Yadav, District Magistrate, Baghpat, Mrs. Neelam Devi, village head Badarkha, Mr. Subhash Singh, SDM, Baraut, Mr. Sandeep Pal, BDO, Chhaprauli etc. were present. On this occasion, the District Magistrate, Baghpat, as the chairman of the District Plantation Committee, apprised the community that only fruit and medicinal plants will be planted in the food forest level of 2 hectares.
Divisional Forest Officer, Baghpat informed after the program that plantation target has been successfully achieved by planting 1328612 saplings against total plantation target of 1328081 between 05.07.2022 to 07.07.2022 in district Baghpat.
