The Backward Classes Welfare Department

The Backward Classes Welfare Department is an important branch of the Uttar Pradesh government, working for the welfare of the Other Backward Classes (OBCs). Backward Classes Department was established in 1995 to ensure the welfare of the backward classes.

Objective of the Department:-

  • To advance the education of backward classes
  • To strengthen them economically
  • To provide equal opportunities in society
  • To ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the right people.
