A grand celebration of ‘Yamuna Maha Aarti’ in Baghpat on Akshaya Tritiya, conveying faith and environmental protection
Baghpat, April 19, 2026:-
The “Yamuna Maha Aarti” festival, held at the Yamuna Pakka Ghat on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, filled the entire area with devotion and enthusiasm. As evening fell, the ghat was illuminated with the light of lamps, a saffron aura, and the echo of Vedic mantras. This event was not merely a religious ritual, but a beautiful confluence of faith and environmental protection, with the message of “devotion as well as nature.”
The event, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, clearly reflected the vision of cleanliness and cultural renaissance. Ministers of State KP Malik and Jaswant Singh Saini reiterated their commitment to Yamuna conservation, calling it an important campaign of public participation. Under the guidance of District Magistrate Asmita Lal, the program was conducted in a well-organized, safe, and effective manner.
The highlight of the Maha Aarti was a sense of responsibility combined with faith. Devotees pledged to keep the Yamuna clean, avoid littering, and conserve water during the Aarti. The “zero-waste” theme, plastic-free arrangements, and innovative practices made the event inspiring.
Bhajans, folk songs, and cultural performances brought Indian traditions to life. This event established a new identity for Baghpat and conveyed the message of cleanliness and conservation to the community.
